Leaving Footprints on 2019: Top Ten Posts

January 6, 2020 By Tina Leave a Comment

Another year is in the books and here we are ~ toes already in the water, ready to dive into the next 52 weeks.  Of course, as one year ends and another begins, many of us spend the time reviewing the past twelve months to see where we have grown, what we should celebrate and how we can improve ourselves even more as each day dawns.  One way I like to celebrate is by looking back on the year’s top blog posts to see what you as my audience were interested in reading about on the site.  It sometimes surprises me to see which posts actually resonated and also gives me the encouragement I need to keep moving in certain directions.  So, without ado, I wanted to share with you the Top Ten Most Sought After Blog Posts on Footprints in Pixie Dust for 2019!  Are you ready?

Top Ten Blog Post Footprints in 2019

No joke – I was shocked to see that four posts covered food allergy experiences, three detailed dining experiences, six were all about Walt Disney World and two featured Branson.  Interestingly enough, a few of them had been written the year before, but gained some pretty good traction in 2019.  Wow!  My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you who clicked into any of these posts and felt compelled to share them with friends.  Word of mouth is always a great way to get good information out, so I appreciate all the hard work you guys put behind supporting Footprints.

Now…I’m sure you’re curious to see which posts made it to the Top Ten.  So here we go.  These are the posts YOU all found the most exciting to read on my site in 2019!

Coming in at #10….(and please feel free to share any and/or all of these with your friends or on your social channels!!!0

#10 Chicken Guy at Disney Springs

WHAT?!?!?!  THIS ONE FLOORED ME!!!  People – I cannot believe that my Chicken Guy post is still making the rounds a year later!  I thought this would be a quick write up and then it would sink into the shadows.  However, for some reason, this post is still circulating.  I’ve considered updating the experience, but have to still convince the family on this.  Nonetheless,  you guys found Chicken Guy to be one of my top ten popular posts in 2019!  It must have been the sauces…..

#9 Pasghetti’s – It’s All About the Meatball!

During my trip to Branson in November 2018, I had the chance to visit a very unique restaurant whose entrance is easy to see from down the street!  Take a century’s trip back to New York City and peek into what makes Pasghetti’s in Branson, Missouri, a great place to dine during a visit to this Ozark Mountain town!

#8 Our Personal Food Allergy Friendly Experiences at Walt Disney World

Dining with food allergies is not an easy task!  It can be daunting and overwhelming and I know that searching out other’s experiences and tips has helped us through the years.  Nowadays, many people ask US where we find success when it comes to dining out, particularly when it comes to Walt Disney World.  Here is a post that shares a good deal of the positive experiences we have had at one of our happy places!  I’m so excited this one made the Top Ten!!!

PS – Have you read my post that focuses on food allergy friendly ice cream experiences at Walt Disney World?

#7 Managing Food Allergies at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Attraction

Here’s another Branson favorite of mine.  In fact, it’s quite popular among many who visit the area.  Dolly Parton’s Stampede Attraction is a fantastic place to experience dinner and a show and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE  ~ including those with food allergies and dietary restrictions.  We put this to the test during a family visit last November, but this particular post here was written before that visit.  I can’t believe it’s still popular today!!  Take a peek into how the staff at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Attraction work to accommodate those who have special dietary needs, like our son!

#6 Managing Food Allergies at Medieval Times

I’m shocked – so many of our food allergy experiences have been found popular and found their way into the Top Ten!  This particular post is all about our experience at Medieval Times here in Kissimmee, Florida.  This is another dinner show that has the audience being served a royal feast while watching spectacular entertainment in the arena below.  This post focuses on how well they were able to accommodate for our son’s dietary restrictions.  This post differs from the Dolly Parton post above in that THIS is our actual and personal experience.   Enjoy and feel free to share!

#5 Autumn Events at Disney Parks

Ah, yes!  Walt Disney World knows how to decorate for the seasons!  Once August rolls around (yes, a little early, but I totally get it now that I live here), the parks explode with autumn wonder and festive decor and seasonal foods come out in droves.  This piece here shared what was coming in the fall of 2019, but it’s still fun to read because it just ignites excitement of what may be coming THIS year!  Which of the “six things” gets you most excited about visiting Walt Disney World during the autumn season?

#4 Toy Story 4 Printables

Everybody loves a good set of printables!  It keeps the Littles happy and maybe even grants adults a little therapeutic entertainment for a time, as well.  Toy Story 4 was one of the big Disney•Pixar movies that came out this year and everybody was all about Buzz, Woody, Bo Peep and more.  I loved sharing these printables when they came out and I still have people coming to the site to download the sheets inside!  Are you a printable fan?  Have you taken a peek at what this post has to offer yet?

#3 Epcot Sea Adventures: Dolphins in Depth Experience

This one continues to shock me!  This was written back in 2018, but people still find it interesting to read.  I still have people emailing me asking me questions about my personal experience and if Walt Disney World still has this tour at Epcot.  The answer is YES!  As of the timing of this particular post, they still have the experience listed on their website.   This had been a bucket list item of mine and it was amazing when I had the chance to cross it off the list (thanks Hubby for such an amazing gift!!).  Take a peek inside to see what this dolphin encounter entailed and how you can enjoy the same experience during a visit to Epcot!

#2 How Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party “Treats” Food Allergies

This was a fun one to write!!!  Granted, this one is from 2018 and I have an updated one from 2019 that is just as fun to read.  Nonetheless, families still enjoy reading about how well Magic Kingdom accommodates guests with food allergies when it comes to the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party!  Thanks to all the brands who participate by providing barrels full of food-allergy friendly candy and treats!!  Because of you, so many children now know what it’s like to trick-or-treat on this festive autumn holiday!

#1 DVC Moonlight Magic

Oh, boy!  For some reason, this is another shocker for me!  Apparently, these Disney Vacation Club events are pretty popular and I need to attend another one!  We had a great time during our evening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which happened to our first and only time experiencing the Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic.  However, it is something that Guests are still scrambling to schedule when planning out their upcoming Disney itineraries.  Take a peek inside some of the magic that happens during these exclusive Disney Vacation Club member events!!   I can’t believe this was #1 for 2019!!

Are you just as surprised with the Top Ten??

Which of these posts have you read and which do you agree belong in the 2019 Top Ten?  I know I spent a great deal of the last two months writing my heart out, so I’m excited to see what will be popular in 2020.  In the meantime, I’m pretty stoked that some of these posts are still finding their way into people’s feeds and hearts.  Thank you again from the bottom of mine!  So many of you are loyal readers and participate in discussions on social media and here on the blog.  I encourage you to keep the conversation coming!  It means more to me than you know!!

Let’s have a great year together, friends!  I’m putting 2020 in sharp focus and can’t wait to see what lies ahead!!!
