Ummm ~ where did 2018 go??? Seriously – I blinked and it was gone. Here we are at the beginning of another 365 cycle and about to embark upon a new 52 week adventure. I don’t know if I’m ready!!! I mean, over the last year, there was a LOT of change, a LOT of walking in and by faith. However, if I really think about it, I can’t really complain as I’ve seen growth, hope and success on a personal level. I can only pray that 2019 brings the same – if not more! Yup, I’m feeling ambitious!

WHAT A YEAR!
At the start of 2018, Footprints in Pixie Dust was a part time deal for me. I was maybe publishing two or three times a month because life was pretty crazy with the job I was holding down. Not to mention, I was juggling quite a few responsibilities as mom and wife. Sure, the boys are definitely self-sufficient in some areas, but the two at home cannot drive yet and there is always something happening.
Just before my birthday, however, Hubby and I agreed it was time to let go of the job that was literally killing me emotionally and physically. In turn, this would allow me to do something I have dreamed of doing for some time ~ put full time effort into writing, promoting, learning, pitching, etc.
I did just that! I put my whole self into this project and it has become a part of who I am at the moment. While I honestly believe it will spur into bigger, more creative ventures, this is where I am right now and I am going to soak it all in!
What an amazing feeling!
In the year, I have increased traffic to the blog about 4500% (yes – that number is what I meant to type!) and have had the privilege of exploring a variety of venues and locations. I’ve also developed connections with many of you who follow Footprints in Pixie Dust on a regular basis. (If you’re not following any of our social channels – hmmm….why not???) It means the world to me that so many of you find these posts informative, encouraging and even inspiring. Your comments, likes and shares inspire ME and encourage ME to keep moving forward.
I cannot thank you enough!!!!
Over the year, I’ve stuck to my four pillars: family, food allergies, travel and entertainment. Many times, those overlap, which makes for some great stories and interaction! In an effort to close our 2018 and get ready for the new year, I thought I’d share with you the top five posts that seemed to resonate with readers. It’s actually a little funny to see where most of my readers directed their attention, but I’ll admit it was a close call for some. Those not making the list below were not far behind!
So, here’s to ending the year on a positive note and hoping there is more to come!

The youngest and I had the amazing privilege of attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party this year at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Huge thanks to my friend Angie from This is the Motherhood for inviting us and allowing us to explore how Disney Parks accommodates for food allergies at a party of this magnitude! I can’t wait for you to take a peek and see what we experienced!

#4 Dating Around World Showcase: Leaving Footprints in Morocco

This has to be one of my favorite series on the blog! Hubby and I have been taking date night to a whole new level by visiting one country at a time in World Showcase at Epcot. I cannot tell a lie – it was all his idea. During each date, we take the time to explore the nooks and crannies of the pavilion and bring our experience to you. We are almost done with the entire showcase (three more to write at the time of this piece), but this particular post on the Morocco pavilion did VERY well! In fact, it is one of our FAVORITE date nights at Epcot. Take a peek to see what we learned and ate, as well as whom we met!

#5 #BloggingBranson: Celebrating the Season with an Ozark Mountain Christmas

Wow! Let’s round it out with a Blogging Branson piece! To be honest, this says a lot about Branson, in my opinion! This particular post has only been out a short period of time, but it took off like wildfire apparently. Visiting Branson has been one of the non-Disney highlights of my year and I’ve had the privilege of meeting some amazing people during these media events. The holidays in Branson are particularly spectacular and I am so glad that this post seems to have resonated with many. If you haven’t been to Branson between November 1st and December 31st, check out this piece and be prepared ~ you may very well find yourself making next year’s holiday plans!
