Reindeer Bat Craft from “I’ll Be Next Door For Christmas”

December 5, 2018 By Tina Leave a Comment

When the boys were younger, we used to do crafts all the time at the kitchen table.  There would be glue, buttons, glitters, markers, you name it!!  We would just create memories by working on various seasonal projects ~ all of which have made EVERY SINGLE MOVE with us throughout the years.  Yup – I’m THAT mom!!  Though the boys are older, I still love to look for various crafts to do from time to time (something a lot of my friends don’t know about me).  Every once in awhile, of course, I can get one or two of the boys to work on one of them ~ and this featured project may very well be one.  Why?  Because it has to do with making Reindeer Bats!!!!

Reindeer Bats

Bats?  Really?  How are bats related to Christmas?  Well, that’s something you’ll have to discover in the movie “I’ll Be Next Door For Christmas,” but I will say that it has to do with creating a Christmas cave.  Hmmm….pique your curiosity at all?

The movie stars Juliette Angelo (TV’s Mad Men) as a 16 year old who is simply just fed up with her parents’ deep-rooted love for the holidays.  When her out-of-state boyfriend decides to pay the family a visit for the holidays, Nicky becomes dead set on sparing him the Christmas craziness her family dishes out.  She goes so far as to hire actors to play her parents and stage a fake Christmas dinner in the empty house next door.

Ummm ~ what could possibly go wrong?  Right?

(Pssst – I know how you can find out!!!  The movie is out on digital now…see more details below.)

The Craft Itself

So – these reindeer bats are easy to make!  It requires only six items and takes five easy steps.  You can find the directions by clicking on the icon below or this link right here.
