News broke just a short time ago that Disney and Pixar’s ONWARD will be available for purchase digitally and on Movies Anywhere as of 8 pm EST today (March 20th).  Talk about some much needed awesome news, right? To add to the excitement, it was also announced that ONWARD will be making its debut on Disney+ much earlier than anticipated with a start date of April 3rd!  Sweeeeet!!!! Okay – well, I have ONE MORE piece of good news to share. Are you ready? I HAVE ONWARD ACTIVITY SHEETS!!!!  Yes, I do!! Keep reading to find out how you and the Littles can stay ONWARD focused while spending time together this spring!
Onward Hits Homes Earlier Than Anticipated!
It seems like it was just a few weeks ago Disney and Pixar’s ONWARD premiered in theaters! Right? Oh, wait – it WAS just a few short weeks ago, so yeah! That’s makes total sense! Since it’s arrival, the movie has earned itself some pretty rave reviews, including a 95% Verified Audience Score on RottenTomatoes.  I’m guessing people are liking it!!! I know I did (check out my review – right here!).
Now, we are all fully aware that the recent global health crisis is kind of messing up everybody’s schedules. We’re all making the most of it, but it’s creating some stir in the entertainment world, too.  In fact, there are changes happening everywhere! So, due to the current crisis and it’s impact on theaters around the world, Disney thought it best to offer ONWARD to its audience staying at home waaaaaaay ahead of schedule.Â
So, beginning today at 8 pm EST today (5 pm over there on the West Coast), fans can purchase ONWARD on digital platforms in the U.S. for $19.99.
“While we’re looking forward to audiences enjoying our films on the big screen again soon, given the current circumstances, we are pleased to release this fun, adventurous film to digital platforms early for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their homes,” said Dan Scanlon (Director, “Onward”) and Kori Rae (Producer, “Onward”).

For those who have access to Disney+, Disney and Pixar’s ONWARD will be available to watch on the streaming service as early as April 3rd! I myself am pretty psyched about this!! I’ll be popping the popcorn (or perhaps even munching on an order from Popped Passion) and nestling up on the couch that day for sure!!Â

About the movie
In the movie ONWARD, teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voiced by the amazing talent of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, respectively) get an unplanned and unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad. In order to make it happen, the two embark upon an extraordinary quest in Barley’s epic van, whom he endearingly calls Guinevere. Of course, like any good quest, the brothers’ journey comes with its fill of magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries.  Perilous curses aside, this is one magical day that could mean more to them than they ever dreamed.
