Meet Tina…
Welcome, everyone! Tina here, author and owner of The Curious Footprint, and I am so glad that you have taken the opportunity to stop by to see what I am all about! Let’s get down to business, shall we?Â
Who am I?
First and foremost, I am a forty-something year old wife and mother.  I was born on the East Coast and raised in New England. Over the last twenty years or so, however, I’ve had the amazing pleasure of traveling quite a bit (more about that further down). Currently, my family and I are soaking up the Central Florida sun and traveling here, there, and anywhere when it’s safe. I personally enjoy frequent jaunts over to visit Walt Disney World.
What do I love to do?
It goes without saying that spending time with my family is paramount. Over the years, we have created a plethora of memories together and I look forward to making more as the years go by, even as they take a different shape and an exciting new focus.
When it comes to my personal passions, however, I am all about writing, photography and travel. When I can combine those three elements together, I am absolutely in my glory. Writing has been something I’ve been doing since childhood, as has photography. Travel actually didn’t really take hold of me until later in life. Though I traveled to Germany as a teen, the last two decades have taken me across more than 75% of this country, as well as outside the states to a few other destinations. There is still so much more of this world I want to see! Â
What do I write about on The Curious Footprint?
On The Curious Footprint (formerly known as Footprints in Pixie Dust), you are going to find posts that share various personal thoughts and experiences about movies, books, destinations, and more.  Â
Since our family has had some personal struggles, such as managing life-threatening food allergies, you’ll also find stories about how we have overcome various challenges and made difficult situations work for our family. Â
Of course, my favorite posts are those that share personal experiences through travel. I’ve had such amazing opportunities over the years to travel to Grand Cayman, California, Missouri, South Carolina and Georgia to name just a few places. I love retelling the stories of what I saw, what I learned and how that destination impacted me personally.Â
What do I hope you find on The Curious Footprint?
When you visit The Curious Footprint, my hope is that you’ll find stories with which you can connect and experiences that will leave you inspired, motivated and encouraged. You may even find that you learn a thing or two. My goal is to allow my curiosity to explore to become your source of inspiration. I share my thoughts and experiences so you know what to expect before you take that bite, see that show or book that trip. Â
Why should you stick around?
I consider myself a “writer who happens to blog.” My heart is in storytelling and creating content that makes you feel something. What it all comes down to for me is making sure that content has a quality about it that leaves the reader informed and inspired. In fact, my family’s food allergy story and the unique approach to managing it has been featured in Visit Florida Magazine (under the previous name of Footprints in Pixie Dust). My writing and video content have also earned recognition and awards from Blogging Branson.  I’ve even had opportunity to walk the Red Carpet for a movie premiere. Â
In closing…Â
As the boys are growing up and I am taking on more projects with a personal focus, I hope sharing these new and exciting adventures inspire you in some way to enjoy life to the fullest.Â
Take that trip. Try that new food. Visit that unique destination. Learn that new skill.Â
This is simply my life, my story, my journey ~ my set of curious footprints I’m choosing to leave behind. Â
