Abominable Will Arrive On Digital and Blu-Ray In Time For the Holidays

It wasn’t too long ago that we saw Abominable from Dreamworks Animation in the theaters.  Little did we know that we would unexpectedly fall in love with the story.   Well, that adorable tale is about to come home for the holidays as release dates have been revealed for Abominable to arrive on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD!

ABOMINABLE WILL ARRIVE IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This holiday season, get ready to cozy on up with what has become everybody’s favorite Yeti.   The #1 original animated movie of the year from Dreamworks Animation & Pearl Studios brings magic, music and laughter to family viewing and will make for a fabulous movie night starting this December!

About The Movie

This magical journey is brought to life with the voice talents of Chloe Bennet (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”), Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award winner Sarah Paulson (“American Horror Story”), Eddie Izzard (Cars 2), Tenzing Norgay Trainor (“Liv and Maddie”), Albert Tsai (“Fresh Off the Boat”), Tsai Chin (The Joy Luck Club) and Michelle Wong (“Scandal”).   It is written and directed by Jill Culton (Open Season, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc.) and co-directed by Todd Wilderman (Open Season 2).  The film is produced by Suzanne Buirgy and Peilin Chou.

Abominable is a heartwarming and humorous story that follows teenage Yi (Bennet) as she encounters a young Yeti on the roof of her apartment building in China.  She and her mischievous friends, Jin (Trainor) and Peng (Tsai), name their new friend “Everest” and embark upon an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family at the highest point on Earth.  However, in order to help Everest get home, the trio of friends will have to stay one-step ahead of a wealthy gentleman named Burnish (Izzard), who is intent on capturing a Yeti, and zoologist Dr. Zara (Paulson).

The movie is a visual masterpiece, taking us to various stunning geographic locations.  It’s difficult to not watch this and be inspired to travel.  It also carries with it moments of intense laughter and life lessons for all ages.  Throw in a little bit of wonder and you have yourself a hit.
